In the range of social issues the Pro Futuro Europae Institute implements programs aimed at young citizens, people in the labor market as well as adults and seniors. The major framework in this respect is the EU "Lifelong Learning Programme", including Leonardo da Vinci and Grundtvig and the EU program "Youth in Action", based on non-formal education methods. In the future cultural programmes will be developed as well.

to focus on the “story telling” as a method used in private, professional and NGO life and to practice this method with our friends from different countries.

The project used almost exclusively non-formal educational methods and was located in Krynica Morska. By this youth exchange we wanted like to reinforce contacts between young people from 5 various countries, within European spirit of cooperation on common issues. This project was also about more internationalization of our organizations and offered more exciting possibilities for young people under the ERASMUS+ programme.
Tell me your story, 21-26.08.2018, Krynica Morska, Poland
“Tell me your story!”, was a youth exchange project which was held in Krynica Morska, Poland in the summer of 2018 involving 5 organizations and 40 young people from 5 Euroean Union countries. Its aim was to enhance the self esteem of young people, their personal, social and professional advancement. This very general aim was done through realization of the general project objective, which was to practice “story telling”, understood as presentation and listening soft skills in a varied group of 40 people coming from different countries.

Sport up your life!, 11-17.04.2018, Koninki, Poland
Project „Sport up your life!” has been prepared by 5 youth groups from NGOs from Bulgaria, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal and Slovakia. Together we were 40 people - 5 teams of youth, 18 to 25 years old plus 1 leaders per group no age limit. The youth exchange took place in beautiful Koninki, małopolskie region, on 11-17.04.2018, with the last night spent in Kraków. Two weeks earlier the same place has hosted 5 leaders' meeting. Our project had 3 main topics: gender balance and equal opportunities, health and social inclusion. The main tool of our work was sport and the methods of nonformal education. We have conducted integration activities, discussions, presentations, outdoor activities, sports, meeting local youth, integration evenings, evaluation, etc. We have put high effort in promoting results of our project by going out to local school, using internet, being visible in Koninki, etc. In the effect of this project we broke stereotypes, gained new skills and competences, became more aware of social issues, we are more self-confident, be better adjusted to problems of everyday life, have increased our presentation and language skills, also knowledge about European issues among us and also other groups – our friends, families, school and work mates, we have also explored and promoted new methods of using sport as a great social tool.
Learning for understanding, 04-11.09.2017, Koninki, Poland
Project "Learning for understanding" was a challenge which aimed to support creating new forms of dialogue and co-operation map between youth from Poland and Ukraine. The project was carried out by a group of 30 young people, aged 18-25, associated in two NGOs: Youth Organization STAN from Ukraine and Foundation Instytut Europejski Pro Futuro Europae from Poland. The main activity was a youth exchange which took place on 04-11.09.2017 in Koninki, Poland. Thanks to involvement in this project the participants increased intercultural dialogue, developed attitudes of openness, tolerance, discovered common roots, fought prejudice and stereotypes - both the historic and current ones. This project enabled us to learn about the specific relations between our countries and all connected processes: cultural, social, political and economic ones. Activities of this project were based on nonformal education methods, such as discussions, workshops, games, presentations, etc. and led to gaining new knowledge, skills and experiences. Working in mixed groups allowed to create a bilateral youth co-operation map, which in the future will be a base for next common projects. Finally we took on the challenge to promote and disseminate project results therefore becoming ambassadors of supporting positive Polish-Ukrainian relations.
"Education in peace through sport", Koninki, October, 2017
Our project entitled Education in peace through sport was composed of 4 youth organisations from Portugal, Lithuania, Romania and Poland. The main activity of the project was a youth exchange which gathered 36 young people (9 from each country). The event took place on 03-10.04.2017 in Koninki (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koninki). The main topics of our project were various issues connected with Olympic Games, which prepared participants to better act for international co-operation and development. We have discussed issues of fair play, peaceful coexistance, sport rivalry, disabled people, healthy lifestyle and wellbeing. Our activities were based on non-formal methods such as discussions, panels, workshops, national evenings, sport activities, interactions with local community, etc. We have shared the effects of our work with educational institutions, other NGOs, sport clubs, partner organisations, local authorities. In the long term we will use the skills and knowledge gained to work for our organisations, our private and professional lives but also to try to contribute to a better future and good co-operation in the EU.
Polish Israeli Youth exchange: Let's meet again, November, 2016
The aim of the project titled Let's meet again was to contribute to the dialogue and reinforced contacts between new
generations of young people from Israel and Poland, based on diversity, intercultural and inter-religious dialogue, common
values of democracy, freedom, tolerance and respect of human rights. The project major activity was a Polish Israeli youth
exchange, which was held in KrakPoland in November 2016. The project gathered together 2 organizations from
Poland and Israel. 22 participants of mostly student age run the exchange supported by 2 leaders. The programme
addressed the following issues: knowledge of Poland, its current society, culture, political and economic situation and
challenges as an EU member; knowledge of Israel, its current society, culture, political and economic situation and
challenges as a democratic state; inter-cultural communication; inter-religious dialogue, European citizenship and
awareness and co-operation in the field of youth. Young people planned this exchange themselves and discussed about
these subjects, visit places of common history and shared their stories and cultures. The project used mainly non-formal
educational methods. By this youth exchange we contributed to reinforced contacts between young people from Poland and
Israel, based on new attitudes of us as young people. Also this project helped for more internationalization of our
organizations and to offered more exciting possibilities for young people under the ERASMUS+ programme.
Open yourself to dialogue, 5.09. - 02.10.2016, Koninki
Our project entitled „Open yourself to dialogue” was composed of 4 youth organisations from Italy, Lithuania, Romania and Poland. The main activity of the project was a youth exchange which gathered 40 young people (10 from each country). The event took place on 25.09. - 02.10.2016 in Koninki in malopolskie region. At the same place but 2 weeks before the 4 leaders have met for an APV. The main topics of this project were: religious dialogue, ethics, philosophy, minorities (especially jewish and roma communities). The activities which we organised during the exchange were all based on nonformal education methods. These included for example: discussions, theme panels, workshops, cultural evenings, outdoor activities, games, presentations, interactions with local society, etc. Thanks to co-operation with Muzeum Etnograficzne w Tarnowie, Stowarzyszenie Kulturalno Spo3eczne Rom#8222;Centrum Kultury Rom Polsce”and Fundacja Ochrony Dziedzictwa —ydowskiego we have received interesting materials (books, brochures, music, requisites, etc) which have increased the attractiveness of our activities. We have shared our results with various educational institutions, NGOs, partner organisations, local authorities - hence we have become ambassadors of dialogue as the most effective form of solving problematic issues. In the long term we want to use the gained knowledge and skills for more effective work for our organisations, in our professional and private lives as well as for more ambitious international actions within the EU.
Video and social media for greater youth participation, 19-25 September 2015, Warsaw
The “Video and social media for greater youth participation” project is an international training course within the mobility project for young people and youth workers, action 1 of the ERASMUS+ programme (youth workers' training and networking). It will be held in Warsaw, Poland from 19-25 September 2015. The project has been developed by participants coming from 12 youth organizations from both EU and the neighbouring region of Eastern Europe and Caucasus. 36 participants will participate in the project and they will be of approximately 25-35 years of age (leaders and responsible for social media communication). The project is a follow up of a very successful project realized by with some of our partners in 2013 in KrakThe objective of this training course is to gather a balanced group of organizations from EU and EU Partner Countries from the neighbouring region of Eastern Europe and Caucasus and to train young and emerging leaders of this organizations in the effective application of social media and video tools relevant to their youth work in the light of the overall idea of achieving greater youth participation.
"Emerging businesses and good governance", September 2013
"Emerging businesses and good governance. How young entrepreneurs expand democratic growth in Europe" is a youth seminar, action 4.3., jointly designed by members of six youth NGOs across EU. It will be targeted at leaders identified by partner organizations and young entrepreneurs to discuss the link between youth entrepreneurship, European citizenship and growth of democracy in EU. It will enable young people to share knowledge on how to spark an entrepreneurial spirit among young people and how to use their motivation in improvement of democratic traditions and good governance. In this sense it will explore the layer of European citizenship. Please join us!
IT technology best practices in youth participation, July 2013
Some 30 participants, facilitators, guests and support staff participated in the training course "IT technology best practices in youth participation", developed under action 3.1. of the Youth in Action programme. The course was organized by the European Institute Pro Futuro Europae in Krakow, Poland from 4-9 July 2013. The programme was jointly developed by participants coming from organizations from both EU and the neighboring region of Eastern Europe and Caucasus. The objective of this training course was to gather a balanced group of organizations from EU and EU Partner Countries from the neighboring region of Eastern Europe and Caucasus and to train young and emerging leaders of this organizations in the effective application of contemporary IT tools relevant to their youth work in the light of the overall idea of promotion of youth participation. In its overall goal the training course contributed to an increased youth participation in promoters’ countries, especially in the region of Eastern Europe and Caucasus. Special feature of the social programme was the opportunity to take part in the most famous Jewish Culture Festival and to learn about important heritage of Krakow’s part of European heritage.

The European Institute Pro Futuro Europae organised a training course on "European Citizenship Through Active Youth Participation". Partners participating in the project came from the following countries: Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Poland, This event was held from 8-15 March 2007 in Cracow, Poland.
